Education Beyond Academics
Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Satyug Darshan Vidyalaya believes that education must go beyond academics to cultivate ethical values, emotional intelligence, and spiritual consciousness.
The school places equal emphasis on moral, emotional, and intellectual growth, shaping individuals who are not only knowledgeable but also wise, compassionate, and responsible citizens.
Values & Ethical Foundation
In accordance with NEP’s focus on Values and Ethics in Education, SDV’s curriculum integrates both formal and experiential learning to instil moral principles, social responsibility, and human values in students.
Equanimity
Children are encouraged to live by the timeless principles of Equanimity and Even-Sightedness (Sambhaav Samdrishti) — the foundation of balanced thinking, inner harmony, and Universal Oneness.
Universal Oneness
To strengthen the moral fabric of society, sessions and activities promoting national integration, cultural harmony, and universal brotherhood are conducted throughout the year. These experiences nurture empathy, inclusiveness, and respect for diversity.
Moral Strength
Students also represent the school in national and international programmes that promote the ideals of peace, moral strength, and global citizenship — key aspirations of the NEP.
Dhyan Kaksh – School of Equanimity
Special value-based sessions are held to help students reflect upon the roots of human vices and their impact on the mind, body, and society. They are guided to cultivate virtues such as Contentment, Endurance, Truthfulness, and Righteousness, thereby developing strong character and ethical resilience.
To further strengthen this inner development, special classes are also conducted at the Dhyan Kaksh — the School of Equanimity and Even-Sightedness — where students engage in guided reflection, meditation, and discussions on values, experiencing peace, focus, and self-awareness in an environment of serenity.
At SDV, moral and spiritual education is not an additional component — it is a core pillar of holistic learning, as envisioned by the NEP 2020. Through this approach, students grow into ethical, empathetic, and enlightened individuals, prepared to contribute meaningfully to a peaceful and progressive world.
